Our faith

We believe and trust in God, who loves us all.

We believe and trust in Jesus, who showed us what love means.

We believe and trust in the Holy Spirit, who helps us to love in return.

safeguarding-150Safeguarding our children and young people, as well as vulnerable adults, is an essential element of what it means to be church. All Methodist churches have safeguarding policies and take the recruitment and training of those working with vulnerable people seriously. For those in leadership roles, that means the appropriate DBS (formerly CSB) checks. For those in supporting roles, all are now required by the Methodist Connexion to have undertaken the "Creating Safer Space" training, which is designed to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding and the issues involved.

Our church Safeguarding Contact is currently Ann Leck who, along with the minister, is generally the first point of contact for any safeguarding concern.

Prayer for the Week

Welcoming God,
in Christ you give
healing to the broken,
hope to the sorrowful,
comfort to the lonely,
new life to all.
Help us not to be too proud
to accept all that you offer us.
Amen.
