Our faith

We believe and trust in God, who loves us all.

We believe and trust in Jesus, who showed us what love means.

We believe and trust in the Holy Spirit, who helps us to love in return.

sos-filmstripSpirituality on Screen is the Oxford Methodist's film group and meets once a month at Jonathan's home to watch a film, share food and then discuss the issues raised. Although it attracts people from our Methodist churches across the Oxford area, Woodstock is well represented and together we have watched a wide-range of films. This year alone we have seen the ever-popular War Horse, tackled the issues of what makes someone "bad" through the gritty drama We Need To Talk About Kevin, reflected on growing old gracefully with the delightful The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, gained an insight into Iranian life through The Separation and had the chance to think about a variety of alternative worlds with the films In TimeThe Invention of Lying and The Hunger Games

We generally meet on the first Sunday of the month at 5.30pm and everyone is welcome. Further information, along with some past study guides, can be found on the group's own website.

Prayer for the Week

Lord, when I am tempted to hold on
to what I think is mine,
to my way of doing things,
to my security blankets;
help me to let go enough to discover that
in Christ, all things are possible.
Amen.
